Resumo A covid-19 é uma doença viral contagiosa, que surgiu pela primeira vez em Wuhan, China, em dezembro de 2019, e deixou o mundo todo em alerta. A taxa de mortalidade na maioria dos principais países da Ásia, com referência especial ao Paquistão, foi enfocada. De 26 de fevereiro a setembro de 2020, o total de casos confirmados e a taxa de mortalidade foram medidos por meio da Wikipedia e de periódicos notáveis. O Irã é o único país com maior número de mortes (5,73%), seguido pela Indonésia (3,77%), enquanto a Arábia Saudita mostra o menor número de mortes, 1,39%. No Paquistão, o primeiro caso foi confirmado em 26 de fevereiro de 2020. O nCov-19 está intimamente relacionado à síndrome respiratória aguda grave (SARS), daí o nome SARS COV-2. Esse vírus é responsável por mais de 33,9 milhões de mortes em todo o mundo em 20 de setembro de 2020. O número de novos casos está aumentando de tempos em tempos. A província de Sindh, no Paquistão, registrou o maior número de casos até 20 de setembro de 2020, em comparação com outras partes do país, e tem o maior número de mortes, seguida por Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Por causa do contato pessoa a pessoa, a doença está se espalhando rapidamente. Indivíduos que já foram diagnosticados com outras doenças, como câncer ou diabetes, etc. são mais vulneráveis. O nCOV-19 é o mais contagioso devido ao seu modo de transmissão. Ainda não há vacina disponível para o tratamento da doença causada pelo nCoV-2019. Portanto, a única opção para controlar essa pandemia é a adoção de medidas preventivas eficazes.

Abstract The COVID-19 is a contagious viral disease, was first emerged in Wuhan, China in December 2019 and became the whole world on alert. The mortality rate in top most countries in Asia with special reference to Pakistan has been focused. Since February 26 to September 2020 the total confirmed cases and mortality rate was measured through Wikipedia and the notable journals. Iran is the only country having highest number of deaths (5.73%) followed by Indonesia (3.77%) while Saudi Arabia shows the lowest number of deaths as 1.39%. In Pakistan the first case was confirmed in 26th February, 2020. The nCov-19 has closely related to severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) hence SARS COV-2 was named. This virus is responsible for more than 33.9 million deaths in over all the world as of 20th September, 2020. The number of new cases is increasing time to time. Sindh province of Pakistan has reported the highest number of cases till September, 20, 2020 as compared to other parts of the country and has the highest number of death followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Because of the person to person contact the disease is spreading rapidly. The individuals who has already infected with other diseases like cancer or diabetic etc. are vulnerable. The nCOV-19 is the most contagious due to its mode of transmission. There is still no vaccine is available for the treatment of disease caused by nCoV-2019. It is therefore the only option to control this pandemic is to adopt effective preventive measures.

RESUMO: O presente estudo objetivou avaliar os efeitos aditivos do extrato aquoso de Cuscuta (akasbel) isoladamente e em combinação com doses cheias e reduzidas de herbicidas comercialmente disponíveis contra plantas daninhas na cultura do trigo durante o ano de 2016-2017. O estudo foi conduzido em delineamento experimental de blocos casualizados (RCBD) com três repetições. Os resultados mostraram que a capina de mão e o uso de herbicidas Allymax e Axial (doses cheia e meia recomendadas) controlaram significativamente todas as plantas daninhas prevalecentes e aumentaram o rendimento e os parâmetros contribuintes de rendimento sobre a verificação de plantas daninhas e aplicação única de extrato aquoso de cuscuta. A capina de mão e Allymax (dose total) mostraram população mínima de plantas daninhas, densidade relativa, biomassa de plantas daninhas fresca e seca e maior índice de área foliar (LAI), duração da área foliar (LAD), taxa de crescimento da cultura (CGR), altura da planta, peso de mil grãos e rendimento de grãos, enquanto a taxa de assimilação líquida (NAR), teor de clorofila, número de perfilhos, comprimento de espiga, grãos de espiga-1 e rendimento biológico foram máximos apenas na capina de mão. Esses resultados sugerem que, a fim de atingir o maior rendimento de trigo, o campo deve ser mantido livre de plantas daninhas por capina de mão (se o trabalho não é um fator limitante) ou usar a dose recomendada do herbicida Allymax para o manejo eficiente de plantas daninhas em trigo.

ABSTRACT: The present study was to assess the additive effects of cuscuta (akasbel) aqueous extract alone and in combination with full and reduced doses of commercially available weedicides against weeds in wheat crop during the year 2016-2017. The study was conducted in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with 3 replications. The results showed that hand weeding and use of weedicides Allymax and Axial (full and half recommended doses) significantly controlled all prevailing weeds and increased yield and yield contributing parameters over the weedy check/control and sole application of cuscuta aqueous extract. Hand weeding and Allymax (full dose) showed minimum weed population, relative density, fresh and dry weed biomass and higher leaf area index (LAI), leaf area duration (LAD), crop growth rate (CGR), plant height, 1000 grain weight and grain yield while net assimilation rate (NAR), chlorophyll content, number of tillers, spike length, grains spike-1 and biological yield were maximum only in hand weeding. These findings suggest that in order to attain highest wheat yield, the field should be kept free from weeds by hand weeding (if labour is not a limiting factor) or use recommended dose of weedicide Allymax for efficient weed management in wheat.

In this article, an integrated computer-assisted process-planning and computer-assisted fixture layout planning system is presented for the automatic generation of process and fixture maps. The part feature model is created using various algorithms and the geometric reasoning approach. The feature-based methodology based on the machining database is then applied for the generation of process maps. The setup scheme algorithm allocates each feature to a definite setup based on its location. The part geometric database and setup plan aids the fixture layout planning process. During fixture layout planning, the standard fixture rules are applied to determine the locating arrangement and feasible datum along with the suitable positions using a fixture database for initial fixture layout planning data. Visual C++ is used to implement the proposed methodology because it interacts with current computer-aided design software. Then a case study is presented to develop an initial fixture layout. Afterwards, the ANSYS parametric design language optimisation tool is applied to automatically optimise locator and clamp positions that yield minimum workpiece deformation. At the end, finite element analysis results depicting deformation magnitudes are presented.

Tydens hegstuk-uitlegbeplanning word die standaard hegstuk reëls toegepas om die ligging en haalbare verwysingspunt te bepaal saam met geskikte posisies deur middel van 'n hegstukdatabasis as vertrekpunt. Visual C++ is gebruik om die voorgestelde metodologie te implementeer omdat dit met bestaande rekenaargesteunde ontwerpspakkette kan koppel. 'n Gevallestudie word dan ter illustrasie voorgehou. Daarna word ANSYS se optimiseringsfunksie toegepas om die optimale klamp-posisies, wat werkstuk deformasie minimeer, te bepaal. Laastens word 'n eindige element analise wat deformasie-groothede aandui voorgehou.

RESUMO: Experimentos de campo foram conduzidos durante dois anos para investigar a fitotoxicidade da algaroba (Prosopis juliflora) no controle de plantas daninhas e no rendimento do trigo nos períodos de 2013-14 e 2014-15. Foram preparados extratos aquosos de folhas, caules e raízes de algaroba com concentração de 10, 20, 30 e 40%, os quais foram comparados com água corrente (controle). Utilizou-se o delineamento em blocos completamente casualizados com quatro repetições. Todos os parâmetros (densidade de plantas daninhas, biomassa fresca das plantas daninhas, biomassa seca das plantas daninhas, teor de clorofila, índice de área foliar, duração de área foliar, taxa de crescimento da cultura, taxa de assimilação líquida, altura da planta e número de perfilhos) sofreram redução significativa pela aplicação dos extratos de algaroba. Entre as diferentes concentrações, o nível máximo (40%) das três partes das plantas da algaroba reduziu os parâmetros do estudo, incluindo densidade das plantas daninhas, biomassa fresca e seca das plantas daninhas, índice de área foliar, duração da área foliar, taxa de crescimento da cultura, taxa de assimilação líquida, teores de clorofila, altura das plantas, número de perfilhos, comprimento da espiga, número de grãos, peso de mil grãos, rendimento de grãos, rendimento biológico, índice de colheita e teor de proteína do grão. Com base nos resultados, conclui-se que os extratos aquosos da algaroba são capazes de conter muitas substâncias fitotóxicas que podem exercer efeito negativo no crescimento e no rendimento das culturas agrícolas. Por essa razão, o trigo não deve ser plantado perto da algaroba.

ABSTRACT: Two-year field experiments were conducted to investigate the phytotoxicity of mesquite (Prosopis juliflora) on weed control and yield of wheat in 2013-14 and 2014-15. Mesquite aqueous extracts were prepared with 10, 20, 30 and 40% concentration of leaves, stems, and roots and were compared with tap water (control). These experiments were laid out in a completely randomized block design with four replications. All parameters (weed density, fresh weed biomass, dry weed biomass, chlorophyll content, leaf area index, leaf area duration, crop growth rate, net assimilation rate, plant height and number of tillers) were significantly reduced by applying the mesquite extracts. Among different concentrations, the maximum level (40%) of all three plant parts of mesquite subsequently reduced the study parameters including weed density, fresh and dry weed biomass, leaf area index, leaf area duration, crop growth rate, net assimilation rate, chlorophyll contents, plant height, number of tillers, spike length, number of grains, 1000-grain weight, grain yield, biological yield, harvest index and grain protein content. On the basis of the results, it is concluded that aqueous extracts of mesquite may contain many phytotoxic substances which can negatively affect the growth and yield of agricultural crops; therefore, wheat should not be planted close to mesquite.

A modular fixture system is a flexible alternative to a dedicated fixture. In this paper, an automatic modular fixture design system is suggested for creating prismatic parts. The system contains fixture planning, fixture modelling, and fixture assembly. The part geometrical database and process plans are considered as inputs to the system. A rule-based method is applied to assign the feasible locating scheme and the locating and clamping datum. The search strategy is designed to determine the most suitable locating and clamping points. The final fixture assembly is made with the standard fixture components using the CATVBA Editor inside CATIAV5. The proposed methodology is successfully validated with a case study.

Die finale hegstuk samestelling is gemaak van die standaard hegstuk komponente van die CATVBA Editor van CATIAV5. Die voorgestelde benadering is suksesvol gevalideer deur middel van 'n gevallestudie.
